This is a story of a former bicycle repairman, Charles Howard (Jeff Bridges), who made his fortune selling the automobile to the American West. Howard owned a small crooked-kneed horse called Seabiscuit. He set up a team consisting of himself, Red Pollard (Tobey Maguire), a half-blind ex-boxing prizr fighter, and Tom smith (Chris Cooper). Together they struggle to survive as the United States struggled through the Great Depression. This is a story of people who believe in themselves and finally achieve success.
